Senecio radicans, String of bananas, is an easy to grow, perennial succulent. It has glossy, fleshy leaves that are curiously banana shaped. The growth habit is ground covering, with a pendulous branching habit, making it a great plant for containers and hanging baskets. It has small white flowers in late winter to early spring, and sometimes at other times of the year. Like most senecios, it is an easy care plant.

This plant likes a consistently moist soil, but doesn't like to be overwatered, which can cause rot.Water less in winter. It prefers a lightly shaded spot, and can be grown indoors in a bright position.

Propagation is from stem cuttings, which readily form roots.
